Editing an Organisation
This guide explains how to view and update the details of an existing Organisation in the SafiSiti platform.
Prerequisites
Required Permissions
Only users with administrative privileges can edit organisation details. Ensure you have one of the following roles:
- Super Admin
- System Administrator
Access Requirements
- Valid SafiSiti account with the required permissions
- Active internet connection
- Access to the Organisations module
Steps to Edit an Organisation
1. Navigate to the Organisations Module
- Log in to the SafiSiti web application.
- From the left-hand navigation menu, select Organisations.
- You will be taken to the list of all registered organisations.
2. Search for the Organisation
- Use the Search Bar at the top of the page.
- Type the name of the organisation you want to update.
- Locate the organisation in the results list.
3. Open the Edit View
- Next to the organisation entry, click the Edit button (or row action menu depending on your UI).
- The organisation’s existing details will load into an editable form.
Editable Fields
You may modify any of the following fields depending on platform configuration:
- Organisation Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Physical Address
- Organisation Type
- Status (Active / Inactive)
- Additional Metadata defined by your deployment
Note: Some fields may be locked depending on your user role and system configuration.
Saving Changes
- After updating the required fields, click Save.
- The system validates the input — if any required information is missing or invalid, an error message will appear.
- Upon successful validation, the organisation details are updated immediately.
Important Notes
- Changes made here affect all users and teams associated with the organisation.
- Updating contact details will reflect across all SafiSiti modules that reference the organisation.
- Deactivating an organisation restricts access for all users belonging to it (use with caution).
Troubleshooting
Cannot Edit Fields?
- Ensure you have Super Admin or System Administrator permissions.
- Some fields may be locked globally for audit or security reasons.
"Save Failed" or Validation Errors?
- Check mandatory fields.
- Ensure email and phone formats are valid.
- Confirm no duplicate organisation names exist.
